Independent journalism means following a question wherever the evidence leads—and showing your work along the way.

STORIES
I’m an engineer by training, a researcher by practice, and an independent journalist by choice.
My work sits between science, data, and public questions. I studied engineering physics at Institut Teknologi Bandung and bio and brain engineering at KAIST, where I worked on computational models of complex biological systems. My research has included peer-reviewed work in systems biology, traffic modeling, and climate data.
Outside the lab, I’ve built quantitative models for business decisions, designed and analyzed surveys, and taught statistics and machine learning. Those different jobs share one habit: make a complicated question clearer, check what the evidence can actually support, and explain the result in plain language.
That is the standard I want Brahmana to follow. I work independently, cite evidence, and separate what we know from what we still need to find out.
